There was good news from the other Belgian athletes running today.
In the men’s 400 metres, twin brothers Kevin and Jonathan Borlée qualified for the semi-finals, with Jonathan setting a personal best.
Cédric Van Branteghem also qualified, which means that Belgium has three athletes in the 400 semis. “This is also good news for our relay team”, Van Branteghem said.
In the men’s 200 metres, Kristof Beyens also qualified for the semi-finals. He eyes a new national record in tomorrow’s semis.
